Who this book is for
For riders and trainers who are done guessing and ready to change the way their horse moves. If you keep working harder without seeing the topline you want, this book is for you.
01 · What you will learn
Learn how to develop Tendon Based Movement and put your horse’s elastic power to work.
Learn how conscious relaxation releases the tensions blocking movement and develops your horse’s body awareness.
Learn the progression from walk and trot to the correct canter that builds the topline.
Learn how to ride with a moving back and keep developing it through Anna’s Riding Method.
From the book
To build the topline, we need to teach the horse to canter correctly. He needs to use Tendon Based Movement and lift the front of his body using the forces that travel from behind through his back. This is what we mean by biomechanically correct canter.

Questions about the book
Why aren’t the exercises building my horse’s topline?
An exercise only builds the topline when the horse actually uses those muscles. Your horse can complete the exercise while keeping the back out of the work. You will learn to recognise the movement that engages the topline and what needs to change in your training.
What will I learn about canter?
You will learn how correct canter lifts the front of the horse through the back, why the pelvis and neck must work together, and how to prepare the transition that makes this movement possible. Then you will learn how to develop that canter through relaxation.
Where does the training begin?
With conscious relaxation and Tendon Based Movement in walk. You will learn why the pelvis must rotate, the neck must stay long and relaxed, and the back must be free to wave. From there, the book takes you through trot, canter transitions and riding that keeps the back working.
