Terms and Conditions

Personal use only. OHL Books does not authorise professional application of One Horse Life methods. A subscription does not give you permission to train clients’ horses, teach the methods professionally, provide related professional services, or represent One Horse Life. Separate written authorisation from the relevant rights holder is required.

1. Who operates OHL Books

OHL Books at ohlbooks.com is owned and operated by Guided Boost PSA, ul. Domaniewska 37, 02-672 Warsaw, Poland. Tax identification number (NIP): 5214177112; international format: PL5214177112; KRS: 0001261827; REGON: 54554673100000. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Guided Boost PSA. Contact details appear at the end of this page.

These Terms govern your account, access to our website and use of its books and other educational materials. By logging in or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Creating an account does not itself purchase a subscription. A paid order is placed separately at checkout, where the offer, total price, recurring charges and seller are identified. You may save or print these Terms for your records.

2. Cooperation with One Horse Life Media SL

Guided Boost PSA cooperates with One Horse Life Media SL, a Spanish company, through mutual support and knowledge sharing. The companies maintain separate customer relationships and do not share their customers or customer databases with each other. One Horse Life Media SL does not operate your OHL Books account or provide your OHL Books subscription.

One Horse Life is a trademark of One Horse Life Media SL. Guided Boost PSA uses it under written permission. This permission does not transfer trademark ownership or grant readers a professional licence. An OHL Books account or subscription does not include another company’s courses, memberships, consultations or certification programmes. Separate purchases from another company are governed by that company’s own terms.

3. The service and technical requirements

OHL Books provides online educational books and chapters about horses and training. Public previews and any free-account access are identified on the website. A paid subscription provides access to the published library included in the offer for the duration of the subscription. Drafts and beta materials are not included unless expressly made available to you. Language editions may differ in availability.

You receive access to read content, not ownership of the books or a promise of permanent access. Downloads, offline copies, audio or other features are included only where expressly offered. You need an internet connection, access to your email, and a current browser supporting JavaScript and essential cookies. We do not promise a particular publication frequency or future title unless expressly stated in your offer.

4. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription. Provide an email address you control and keep your account information accurate. Protect your email account, sign-in codes and session access. Do not share your account, transfer it, resell access or allow others to use your subscription. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are not responsible for losses that applicable law places on us.

You may request account closure using the contact details below. Account closure and cancellation of recurring billing are separate actions: use the cancellation control in your profile to stop renewal, or expressly ask us to arrange cancellation when requesting closure. Unsubscribing from an email does not close your account or cancel billing.

5. Personal-use licence and prohibition of professional application

Subject to these Terms and your access entitlement, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use the materials solely for your own personal, non-professional, non-commercial education and personal work with your own horse outside a business or professional activity.

Without separate, explicit written authorisation from the relevant rights holder, you must not apply the One Horse Life methods presented in OHL Books in any professional capacity. This restriction concerns application of the methods as well as reproduction of the materials.

Prohibited professional use includes training or working with clients’ horses; instructing clients, students or other trainers; providing consultations, therapy or rehabilitation services; and incorporating the methods into courses, clinics, workshops, demonstrations, training programmes or a professional practice. It applies whether you are self-employed, employed or acting through an organisation, and whether a particular session is charged for or offered free as part of a professional or business activity.

You must not present the methods as your own professional offering, use the One Horse Life name or marks to advertise services, or claim to be an authorised, certified or affiliated practitioner on the basis of an OHL Books subscription. Reading the books does not confer certification, accreditation or a professional qualification. Any professional authorisation must come from the relevant rights holder and is governed by its separate written conditions, including any certification requirements.

This is a contractual restriction on the licence granted through OHL Books. It does not assert that every idea or training method is itself protected by copyright, and it does not override rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Copyright, copying and acceptable use

The books, text, images, videos, designs and other materials belong to Guided Boost PSA or their respective authors and licensors. The One Horse Life trademark belongs to One Horse Life Media SL. No intellectual property ownership is transferred to you.

Except where authorised in writing or permitted by mandatory law, you must not reproduce, translate, adapt, publish, distribute, sell, sublicense or make the materials available to other people. This includes distributing copies, screenshots, recordings, transcripts or summaries that reproduce protected material, creating derivative commercial publications, and uploading protected material to AI services or using it to train models. Personal study notes and uses expressly permitted by mandatory law remain permitted; they do not authorise professional application under section 5.

Do not bypass access controls, scrape or systematically extract the library, interfere with the service, introduce malicious software or use the site unlawfully. Statutory exceptions remain unaffected.

7. Subscription charges and payment provider

The standard advertised offer is USD 5 for the first three days, followed by USD 18 per month until cancelled. Applicable taxes are additional to those advertised base amounts; checkout must show the final payable total, currency, introductory charge, renewal amount and timing before you place the order. A different expressly identified offer applies only if you choose it. If displayed prices conflict, ask for clarification before purchasing.

After the introductory period, billing renews automatically each month unless you cancel before the next charge. The introductory period is paid, not free. Invoices and payment details can be accessed through the billing controls in your profile. If payment fails, access may end after any grace period shown to you; payment failure is not a reliable method of cancellation.

Our checkout uses Stripe Managed Payments. The Stripe entity identified at checkout acts as merchant of record for the sale and handles payment, relevant transaction taxes and transaction-level support under the buyer terms presented there. Guided Boost PSA operates OHL Books and provides platform access and content support. Your checkout confirmation and invoice identify the seller for your transaction. These Terms do not replace the seller’s applicable transaction terms or reduce your mandatory rights.

8. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds

You may stop future renewal through the subscription controls in your profile and the linked billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and access continues until that period ends. Cancelling during the introductory period before the first monthly charge prevents monthly renewal. We do not charge a cancellation penalty.

Ordinary cancellation does not automatically refund a period already started. This does not affect withdrawal rights, remedies for defective or unavailable services, mistaken charges, or any refund expressly offered by the seller.

Consumers generally have 14 days from concluding a distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason. To exercise this right, send a clear statement identifying your account, order and decision to withdraw to us using the contact details below or to the seller through the contact method on your order confirmation. You may use this wording: “I withdraw from my OHL Books subscription contract concluded on [date], under account [email], order [reference]. My name and address are [details]. Date: [date].” A particular form is not required.

We do not treat logging in, accepting these Terms or merely opening a book as a waiver of withdrawal rights. If an offer relies on an exception for immediate digital supply, the legally required express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation must be obtained separately. Otherwise the right remains available. Any lawful proportionate charge for services supplied before withdrawal depends on the applicable rules and a valid request to start early. Refunds following valid withdrawal are made within the legally required period, generally 14 days after notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without extra cost.

9. Educational purpose and safety

The books develop your understanding of horses and training. They do not replace individual instruction, assessment of a particular horse, veterinary diagnosis or treatment, or appropriate supervision. Horses and riding involve risks. Consider your own experience, the horse’s condition and the environment before attempting an exercise. Stop when safety or welfare is in doubt and seek appropriate qualified assistance.

We do not guarantee a particular training, health, competition or financial outcome. You are responsible for your own decisions and handling of horses, subject to our obligations under applicable law. These statements do not remove statutory rights concerning the quality or conformity of the service or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Service quality, changes and complaints

We are responsible for supplying the service as agreed and for obligations imposed by applicable digital-content and digital-service law. Maintenance, corrections and security updates may affect availability. We will give reasonable notice of planned material interruptions where practicable. We may revise the library for editorial, legal, licensing or technical reasons, but will not use this provision to remove mandatory remedies or materially reduce a paid service without the rights required by law.

For an access problem, billing concern or complaint, contact us with your account email, a description, relevant dates and the remedy you seek. Do not send full payment-card details or sign-in codes. We will respond to consumer complaints within 14 days of receipt, or within a shorter mandatory deadline. Where the service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract, you may have rights to supply or correction, a price reduction, termination and reimbursement under applicable law. These rights are separate from any voluntary refund policy. We will coordinate transaction issues with the seller where necessary.

11. Suspension, termination and beta access

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, fraud, unlawful conduct, account sharing, unauthorised redistribution or professional use contrary to section 5. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to remedy a breach before termination. Immediate restriction may be necessary for a serious breach or urgent risk. You may contact us to dispute a decision.

Termination does not automatically forfeit every payment: any refund, unpaid amount or other remedy is determined by the circumstances, the contract and applicable law. If we discontinue the paid service without your breach, unused prepaid access will be addressed through an appropriate refund or another solution you agree to, subject to your statutory rights.

Beta access is voluntary, may include unfinished material and may end under the programme conditions. Beta readers remain bound by the personal-use and professional-use restrictions. Feedback you submit may be used to improve OHL Books; it is not automatically authorised for public testimonials or sharing with One Horse Life Media SL.

12. Privacy and email

The Privacy Policy explains how Guided Boost PSA handles personal data. Acknowledging it is not consent to advertising cookies, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or optional marketing emails. Where consent is required, it must be obtained separately.

Weekly publication-news email is optional and can be disabled from your profile or its private management link. Unsubscribing does not cancel an OHL Books account, paid subscription, Stripe billing relationship, beta-program status, or necessary sign-in, support, security and billing messages.

13. Changes, governing law and disputes

We may change these Terms for a valid reason such as a legal change, a security requirement or a change to the service. We will explain material changes and normally give at least 30 days’ advance notice by email or another durable medium, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires a shorter period. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a change materially disadvantages you, you may end the affected ongoing service before it takes effect and receive any remedy required by law. Price changes apply prospectively with notice and an opportunity to cancel before renewal.

Polish law governs these platform Terms. Consumers retain mandatory protections applicable in their country of habitual residence where the law so provides, and their rights to bring claims before competent courts. We do not require consumers to bring all disputes exclusively in Warsaw or accept mandatory private arbitration. You may seek assistance from your local consumer adviser, the European Consumer Centre or a competent alternative dispute-resolution body. Any participation obligation is determined by applicable law.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
